MCM CodeGuard bundles one third-party component, listed under BUNDLED CODE
below. Everything else it uses is either a framework Apple ships with macOS or a
separate program you installed yourself.

BUNDLED CODE

  This code is redistributed inside MCM CodeGuard, and the licences below travel
  with it.

  Sparkle             The software update framework for macOS, by the Sparkle
                      Project. MIT licence.
                      Used to check for, download, and install updates to
                      MCM CodeGuard itself.

                      Sparkle in turn includes:

                      The full text of each is distributed with the Sparkle
                      framework inside the application bundle, at
                      Contents/Frameworks/Sparkle.framework.

TOOLS INVOKED IF PRESENT

  What follows is not a redistribution notice — nothing here is redistributed —
  but a list of the separate programs MCM CodeGuard will use if it finds them
  already installed on your computer. Each remains where you installed it, runs
  as its own process, and is governed by its own licence. Removing any of them
  degrades a feature; none is required for the app to run.

  git                 Invoked at /usr/bin/git, as shipped with macOS or the
                      Xcode command line tools. GPL v2. Deliberately never
                      bundled: distributing it would extend that licence to
                      this software.

  pngquant            Lossy PNG compression. BSD-style licence.
                      Used for asset optimisation when installed.

  cwebp               WebP encoder, part of libwebp. BSD 3-Clause.
                      Used for asset conversion when installed.

  SwiftLint           Swift linter. MIT licence.
                      Used by the Lint section when installed.

  ktlint              Kotlin linter. MIT licence.
                      Used by the Lint section when installed.

  claude              The Claude CLI, by Anthropic. Proprietary; governed by
                      your own agreement with Anthropic.
                      Used as an AI provider when installed and logged in.

  Xcode, Android Studio
                      Opened to reveal a file, if installed.

APPLE FRAMEWORKS

  MCM CodeGuard links only frameworks distributed with macOS — among them
  Foundation, SwiftUI, AppKit, ImageIO, CoreGraphics, PDFKit, CryptoKit,
  Security, and IOKit. Their use is governed by the Apple SDK agreement; no
  separate attribution is required.
